Caramel is a beautiful 1 year old mixed breed rabbit. She was surrendered to HSHPE due to a change in lifestyle. She is a curious young bunny, but tends to be a little more shy when meeting new people. She needs some time to warm up, watching her visitors from afar before deciding her next move!Caramel loves foraging in her hay for the "good pieces" and does tolerate pets as long as there is food involved. We think Caramel's personality will really shine when she is in a home environment and able to bond with her new family.Like all rabbits in HSHPE care, Caramel is provided with a litter box to work on litter training while waiting for a forever home. Caramel will require a large living space (an exercise pen is ideal) and plenty of time outside of her enclosure to exercise and play. Rabbits will not thrive if left in a small cage for their lifetime, this is a cruel and sad existence that often creates behavioural and medical issues. Providing your bunny with enrichment items, hideouts and toys will ensure they live a happy, healthy and mentally stimulating life. As always, please do your research on rabbit care, behaviour, health, nutrition, and general care before applying to adopt. Rabbits are considered exotic pets and are a 10+ year commitment. They can make amazing companions but are not low maintenance or starter pets.Caramel's adoption fee will include her spay, and a gift card from a local pet store partner!
