We are excited to provide this opportunity to a qualified candidate.Location: Oshawa, ON Job type: Full-time PermanentWage: Up to $37.00 per hour (based on experience)Timing: 8 am to 5 PmSchedule: Monday to FridayBenefits: Dental care, Extended health care, Life insurance, Vision care Duties & Responsibilities: Performs repairs and preventive maintenance services. Performs inspection, diagnosis and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment. Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems. Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of truck-trailer systems Utilizes vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes to initiate and assign repairs. Maintain and repair installation equipment, help with the installation, the assembly, and repairs to equipment Estimates time and material costs on vehicle repairs. Performs service calls for emergency breakdowns. Conducts safety checks on all vehicles and equipment. Completes required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing vehicles, documenting part usage and accounting for repair times. Maintains a clean and safe work area in compliance with corporate / OHSA standards. Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures. Working alongside apprentices to provide them with assistance and guidance. Other duties as assigned. Area of specialization Alignment, steering and suspension Brake system Hydraulic system Auto body repair Collision repair Frame straightening Fiberglass repair Auto body painting Welding Machining Truck-trailer repair Skills Required: 2+ years of Trailer Mechanic experience. Ability to communicate (written and verbal) effectively. Ability to work in a Fast-paced environment Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Ability to multitask.
