Our client, a startup in the insurance sector, is looking for a Talent Advisor to join them in a newly created role. It is an opportunity to join them at an early stage and play a pivotal role in their success. As part of a small HR team and the first Talent Advisor, you will own everything from the talent acquisition strategy to end-to-end recruitment. Balancing internal and external relationships, you will prioritize both candidate and hiring manager experiences. From streamlining processes to developing a co-op program and enhancing their employer brand, there will be numerous opportunities to make a significant impact. Please note that this is a hybrid role with the expectation to be in the downtown Toronto office 2-3 days per week. What’s in it for you? Influence and impact. You will: Own the end-to-end recruitment process. You will manage the full recruitment life cycle, from initial meetings with the Hiring Manager to job postings, sourcing, candidate assessment and offers. As the first point of contact for candidates, you will foster strong relationships with candidates, maintaining open communication at every stage to keep them engaged and interested. Nurture collaboration. You will establish relationships with business leaders to understand the scope of hiring needs and the unique aspects of each department and role. You will provide creative and strategic recruitment solutions to meet all recruiting goals, offering regular communication and updates to manage expectations. Contribute to HR initiatives. You will work collaboratively with the team to move HR initiatives forward, including talent acquisition and onboarding practices and other areas of HR. Manage projects. You will identify, advocate and build programs for improving talent attraction and acquisition as it relates to to DEI, candidate engagement, employer branding, and operations. Manage and analyze data. You will build reports for the leadership team detailing key recruitment metrics such as time-to-fill, source effectiveness, and candidate pipeline status. Your analyses will be instrumental in guiding process enhancements. Continuously learn. You will immerse yourself in the company values and strategy and stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously enhance recruitment processes. You have: A passion for recruitment. With end-to-end recruiting experience in organizations of varying sizes, ideally with a national scope, you excel both as part of a team and independently. Your approach to attracting and retaining top talent is both strategic and practical. The business acumen. You are curious and have a proven ability to grasp new technologies and concepts quickly. You are accountable and driven, and you thrive in a fast-moving environment. You have a passion for processes and outstanding organizational and prioritization skills. The interpersonal skills. You have professional communication skills and can adapt your style to suit any audience. You have an outstanding ability to build and foster relationships. Bilingualism in English and French is an asset. Strong time management skills. You work autonomously to own, execute, and deliver on projects with multiple stakeholders and deadlines.
