Please note this is a 6-8 month internship opportunity beginning in June 2024. About the role The Systems Engineering intern works in collaboration with the R&D Engineering team to design cutting-edge medical devices through testing and create various technical documents. Your responsibilities will include: Researches, develops, designs, and evaluates electrical and electro-mechanical material, components, assemblies, processes and/or equipment. Conducts feasibility studies to verify capability and functionality. Develops new concepts from initial design to market release. Directs support personnel and coordinates project activities. Maintains detailed documentation throughout all phases of research and development. Continuously improve processes and work methodologies (using agile/lean principles to eliminate waste) to help solve complex problems. Contribute to software/system risk assessment activities, Use Design FMEA’s activities. Required qualifications Bachelor’s degree in electrical or biomedical engineering 0 - 1 years of experience with product development activities in a regulated industry. Strong problem-solving skills in a team environment. Excellent organizational, communication and collaboration skills. Strong documentation skills. Preferred qualifications Experience with power circuit design / power semiconductors and magnetic components. Experience with analog circuit design. Experience with low-speed digital circuit design. Excellent organizational, communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work with a team efficiently and independently.
