The challenge of inclusion for those left behind requires us to move beyond device focused strategies, towards an interface that we use naturally, every day. We believe that textile is that primary interface, used in clothing, coverings, carpeting and more, we wear and are surrounded by textiles universally, always. Such an interface could fuse data with other devices that we use periodically and data with other IoTs in the environment. People could then leverage their physical presence over their digital presence to communicate and share personal wellbeing. This could unlock healthcare that is proactive and preventative, social connectedness that is more profound, enable care distribution models to be seamless and on demand, better fitness insights, safer working environments and more. The vision for SKIIN -our first consumer-facing brand- is to enhance human ability through connected clothing and textiles. Skiin is in beta-phase market launch and has been recently granted Health Canada medical device license and submitted to FDA for regulatory approval in the US market. The sensors and actuators embedded within our apparel create your Digital Identity, which will be consumed by those who matter to you - your family members, physicians, trainers, other IoT devices - without you consciously having to think about it. The line between the digital and physical world is becoming increasingly blurry and we believe textile is the next medium to bridge that gap.We are a multi-disciplinary technology team solving big challenges at the intersection of electronics, deep tech., software, design, advanced manufacturing, and data science. Role As a Software QA Lead at Myant, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software solutions. You'll be leading a team of talented Software QA Engineers, working closely with the product, software development, and V&V teams to guarantee that our products meet the highest standards. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge technology in a dynamic and collaborative environment. As a member of the Software Leadership Team, you will have the opportunity to make strategic decisions and shape the direction of the Software Team.Reports to: VP of Software Responsibilities: Work closely with product & engineering teams to review product feature requirements (user stories/epics, acceptance criteria) and translate those into a comprehensive test plan Provide technical guidance to the Software QA team to overcome roadblocks Strategize QA solutions for mobile, web and backend applications to deliver high quality and scalable solutions to market Develop processes for effective testing of software products Mentor and develop the Software QA Team Write documentation to support regulatory submissions Proactively help identify opportunities to improve quality and usability of mobile applications Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent work experience 7+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance or similar field Significant experience in building comprehensive sanity, regression, functional and integration test plans Experience testing iOS & Android Applications developed in Flutter, React Native, and native frameworks Experience implementing automated tests for mobile applications Experience testing REST or GraphQL APIs Experience conducting detailed stress and load tests to validate performance, scalability and robustness of backend applications build on cloud Advanced proficiency with Git and automated CICD pipelines A continuous learner who keeps up to date with technologies to generate innovative solutions Expert proficiency in at least one major programming language (Python, Javascript, Java, C, etc) Excellent communication and analytical skills Experience working in Scrum or Agile based environment Assets: Knowledge of physiological signals (ECG, PPG, etc) Medical device regulations (ISO 13485, IEC 62304, ISO 14971) What we offer at Myant: Employee stock options Paid Sick Days and Floating Days Group Health Insurance Plan RRSP matching Plan Corporate Events Exposure working in one of the most innovative and forward-thinking tech companies.
