Topics vary from year to year. Prerequisite: ANT207H1 and 1.0 300-level FCE in ANT (Society Culture and Language) The special topic for this course is User-Experience and Design Research: Anthropological Approaches. Estimated course enrolment: 18 students Estimated TA support: none Class schedule: Fridays 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, Classes begin January 6 and end April 4, 2025 *The delivery method for this course is in person. Please note that, in keeping with current circumstances, the course delivery method may change as determined by the Faculty or the Department. Sessional dates of appointment: January 1, 2025 to May 7, 2025 Salary: Sessional Lecturer I: $9457.90 Sessional Lecturer I Long Term: $9930.79 Sessional Lecturer II: $10,121.77 Sessional Lecturer II Long Term: $10,326.62 Sessional Lecturer III: $10,362.76 Sessional Lecturer III Long Term: $ 10,570.02 Please note that should rates stipulated in the collective agreement vary from rates stated in this posting, the rates stated in the collective agreement shall prevail. Minimum qualifications: MA in Anthropology required, PhD preferred; Minimum 5 years’ experience working in the field of User Experience and Innovation Research required; Demonstrated evidence of superior teaching is required. Description of duties: All duties associated with teaching an undergraduate course, including preparing the course outline, syllabus and lectures, delivering lectures, developing, marking and administering course assignments, tests & exams, holding regular office hours.
