We seek an engineer experienced in developing SaaS platforms using Vue.js who can help us address the challenge of architecting a scalable frontend. It is essential that you’re able to bring standards into the platform and ensure scalability within the code as our team grows.You need to have: Professional experience in software engineering developing well designed software. Experience architecting real-world business applications that scale. Strong proficiency in Vue.js or React.js, JavaScript (ES6), SCSS. A keen eye for product and design. In-depth knowledge of the software development life-cycle and concepts of software engineering. A product-mind, caring about the "Why" - Why build this feature? How will we measure impact? The curiosity and passion to constantly learn new things; Retreat Guru changes fast, and we need people to be able to change and learn fast too. A strong foundation of design principles, especially when it relates to platform development in the areas of API, data modelling, and scale. The tools we use include: PHP, JavaScript, Vue, Vite, Tailwind, Typescript MySQL, Redis, Elasticsearch, Cypress, AWS, Pagely, CircleCI, Docker The project you will be working on We are building out the foundational architecture around the frontend to support Vue.js. You will be a part of this vision, to ensure a smooth transition for our engineers. You will evangelize Vue.js and JavaScript, and help ramp up engineers to ensure they have the skills to support on the frontend. Build out new features and upgrade existing features into the new framework, leading by example. You love: Helping your team, no matter what the task might be. Communicating with your team, value transparency and closing loops. Finding creative, innovative ways to solve problems. Using your skills to bring good to others. You are: Self-motivated with a great attitude. Eager to learn and a quick learner of new tech and how different tools can work together. Able to do what needs to get done. A Canadian Citizen or Permanent Residency.
