About the Opportunity Reporting to the Manager, Continuing Care, the Secretary is accountable and responsible for providing administrative/secretarial support with minimal supervision/direction to the Continuing Care team (frontline staff and management). The Secretary is responsible for efficient prioritization of multiple responsibilities to meet the requirements of the department utilizing initiative, judgment and knowledge in a highly confidential setting. About You We would love to hear from you if you have the following: Grade XII plus graduation from a recognized one year secretarial or office administration course One year secretarial experience required Experience working in a medical setting required Knowledge of medical terminology required Demonstrated exceptional computer skills; Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point), Internet and E-mail, Star Navigator, PHS, SEAScape and Time Capture an asset Excellent organizational, decision making and problem solving skills Experience in maintaining and managing confidential client information Excellent customer service skills Able to multitask, prioritize, collaborate and work in a busy fast pace team environment Willingness to contribute to quality improvement initiatives Competencies in other languages an asset; French preferred Please ensure your resume is up to date and includes all relevant education, experience, training, and certifications. Hours Permanent Full Time; 70 hours bi-weekly Hours of work may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays Compensation and Incentives $23.06 - $25.54 hourly Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
