About the Opportunity Reporting to the Manager, Women and Children's Health, the Secretary D is responsible for providing administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of medical staff offices in the Division. These duties primarily support assigned staff. The secretary exhibits sound professional judgment and initiative while working within the framework and objectives of the Health Services Program and the Mission and Vision and Strategic Directions of NSHA, and incorporates into daily practice the Core Competencies and Values of NSHA Excellence, Integrity, Respect, Accountability and Leadership. About You We would love to hear from you if you have the following: Graduate of a recognized office administration program with medical terminology required Minimum of 1 year experience in office administration required Ability to use Microsoft Windows and all components of Microsoft Office including Excel, Power Point, Outlook Demonstrated current knowledge of Medical Terminology Demonstrated communication skills & excellent organizational skills. Demonstrated interpersonal skills including ability to work as a team member and ability to foster collaborative relationships Demonstrated accountability, initiative, and ability to work independently Demonstrated judgment and decision making skills Demonstrated planning, organizing, prioritizing and time management skills Demonstrated attention to detail Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality Commitment to promoting a culture that supports safety, ethical practices and organizational health Experience in a health care or hospital setting an asset Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred Please ensure your resume is up to date and includes all relevant education, experience, training, and certifications.
