Location: 530 West Broadway, Vancouver BC, Canada Core hours: Monday to Friday from 8am – 4:30pm PSTWe value collaboration, both in-person and remotely. This position is classified as Remote under our Hybrid Work Program Policy, where this position will work primarily from a home office with occasional in-person attendance. Role Summary As the Salesforce Platform Developer, you will work with our team of analysts, developers and stakeholders to design, develop, and implement new features and functionality for our platform and will ensure that our systems are scalable, secure, and optimized for performance. You will have a strong background in Salesforce platform development and administration capacity. As the Salesforce Platform Developer, you will report directly to the Senior Manager of Salesforce Platform & Data Analytics and will work closely with the Information Services ERP Development Team, the Information Security & Infrastructure, Marketing and Sales Teams. Responsibilities Meeting with business stakeholders and translating functional requirements into technical requirements. Uses knowledge and expertise of Salesforce to ensure complete platform utilization Ensure system control process as well as maintenance works with any necessary external vendors Provide input to and guidance on technical design, integration, development, configuration, and customization efforts, and document as required Provide technical oversight, code review, and technical approval for external vendor Design and develop technical solutions in Salesforce as well as web services development with the Salesforce API (REST/SOAP/MetaData, etc.) Design and build high-performance, reusable and reliable apex code with best practices. Follow SDLC processes and tools, Iterative Design & Prototyping (Agile) Ensuring the quality, consistency and efficiency of all Salesforce activities, including general administration, data validity, reporting, support, maintenance, and improvement of the Salesforce platform. Prepare technical specifications and detailed design documents and develop test cases. Qualifications 5+ years of Salesforce development experience with Salesforce administration Extensive experience with customization on the Salesforce Lightning platform, which should include: Lightning Components uses the Lightning Design System framework, Apex, SOQL, and declarative platform tools (Process Builder, Lightning Flows, Lightning App Builder, etc.) Salesforce administration skills (creating objects, fields, page layouts, lightning layouts, workflows, lightning flows, email templates, data loader, etc.) plus experience implementing Salesforce with other applications using SOAP, REST, BULK APIs Experience writing SOQL and SOSL queries Experience with Salesforce OMS and Loyalty Management is a plus Good understanding of Salesforce platform governor limits with an ability to optimize code to respect those limits Experience in working with CD/CI DevOps tools plus working knowledge in SDLC process (Agile) Knowledge of integration and headless/composable architecture as well as third-party integration tools and ETL (Such as Boomi, Jitterbit, etc.) with Salesforce Ability to write clear and detailed technical specifications and documentation plus consistently develop clean, valid markup Total Rewards Competitive salary, quarterly and annual bonuses based on individual and company goals 100% employer-paid premiums for extended health, health spending account, wellness program, green transportation incentive, various paid time-off options available from your first day, and product discounts Focus on professional development, 1:1 meetings with your leader, tuition assistance program and length of service rewards The Application Please submit a resume with a cover letter.
