Responsibilities include general radiography, CT, ultrasound, MRI, image guided procedures and mammography. Participation in the radiologist call group covering VRH would be expected. VRH opened its doors to patients in 1992. The hospital serves the people of Kings and Annapolis Counties, and provides specialty services as a referral centre for the Annapolis Valley and other areas of Western Nova Scotia. Located in Kentville, VRH is a 137 inpatient bed facility that provides inpatient, outpatient, and satellite care to approximately 80,000 residents. Services: ambulatory care cardiovascular services clinical dietetics community cancer services diagnostic imaging emergency medicine intensive care unit laboratory services medical and surgical unit mental health and addiction services obstetrics occupational therapy palliative care pediatrics physiotherapy psychiatry rehabilitation services Responsibilities Duties would include x-ray, ultrasound, CT, MRI, mammography and some nuclear medicine. Light (non-vascular) interventional would be desirable. Expected Hours Full time On-call requirement Qualifications all applicants must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS) all specialists must be eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) Community Details Located in beautiful Annapolis Valley, Kentville is near several award-winning wineries, the Minas Basin - which boasts some of the highest tides in the world - and Acadia University .
