Here's how a(n) Project Accountant for our Edmonton Industrial Management office contributes to our team: Responsibilities Reconcile and process all project-related accounts payable and other costing allocations. Assemble client billing packages in accordance with contract terms and conditions and follow up to ensure timely payment. Subcontract Management: understand subcontract terms and conditions, audit subcontractor invoices and ensure subcontractors are paid within contract terms. Participate in monthly project forecast review meetings for assigned projects to provide input on project financial status. Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Qualifications Two or more years of accounting experience, preferably in construction industry. Knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable Postsecondary degree or diploma in a related discipline preferred. Effective verbal and written communication skills required to interact with project personnel, suppliers, subcontractors and owners. Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work in a team environment. Strong organizational skills, detail orientated, and able to meet deadlines and requirements. Intermediate skills using Microsoft Excel and knowledge and experience with accounting software. Specific experience with Oracle/E1 an asset. Applicants must be willing to work on project sites out of town on varying shift rotations. Living out allowances or camp accommodations will be provided where applicable.
