This is where you come in. We are on the hunt for the right kind of people to join us and help lead us forward to continued growth. We’re looking for a Product Manager to join our growing Product team, (based in downtown Toronto but also open to remote candidates).. This is a great opportunity for someone who has developed the maturity and skills required to anticipate business needs and yet still has the flexibility to jump in and help out when needed - no problem is too big or too small! YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES Developing a strong understanding of customer needs and desires, through user research, AB testing, and other quantitative/qualitative analysis, and turning those insights into a product that delights our customers Working with key stakeholders (marketing, customer support, legal, finance, etc.) to define business requirements for a successful and legally compliant product Collaborate in the ongoing maintenance and enhancement of landing pages, optimizing user experience to boost SEO effectiveness Working with the development team to scope functional requirements that fulfill customer desires and business needs Identifying and tracking key metrics associated with the success of the product/features, and communicating product performance to the rest of the organization through the product life cycle Owning the product roadmap, backlog prioritization, and release plan for the product and related features Managing day-to-day (scrum) activity and prioritizing efforts for a team consisting of Developers, Designers, and Quality Assurance Coordinate with other business functions for product launch and implementation, including developing marketing plans, ensuring operational readiness, and any other launch requirements Developing expertise in their focus area, and keeping on top of constantly changing competitor and industry trends YOUR QUALIFICATIONS Post-secondary education: our ideal candidate has completed a program of relevance (i.e. Product Management) 3+ years of experience as a Product Manager Startup/scaleup experience considered an asset, especially in fintech and/or a SaaS/B2C platform business Experience in Agile/Sprint/Scrum development processes Experience with web analytics, user testing, and AB testing tools A nose for UX/Design and exceptional ability to translate customer and business needs into outstanding products Sound communication skills and the ability to influence and manage cross-functional teams Demonstrated ability to manage project plans, multi-task, and meet deadlines Detail orientation, but able to pivot and re-prioritize efforts as required Creativity in solution design - the candidate identifies opportunities to test concepts without necessarily requiring a full scale technology build Interest in personal finance and credit cards in particular is a significant asset CULTURE FIT No Ego: No task is too big or small. You are never afraid to ask questions when you are trying to learn and understand things. You have no problem rolling up your sleeves and helping to execute when the team needs help. This means pitching in and rallying to get things across the finish line. Rather than putting off work, ask yourself what you can do today to move the needle on a project or goal. Digs Deep: You aren't afraid to ask questions because you want to understand every issue so that you can properly solve the root cause of the problem instead of just completing the task you are given.
