Position Title: Process Trainer Position Type: Regular - Full-Time Position Location: Coaldale Grade: Scale 11 Requisition ID: 29780 Summary : On-the-Job Operator Training as well as support for additional site training and improvement initiatives as required and determined by Training Manager. Essential Duties / Responsibilities: Deliver needed production-related trainings to ensure proficiency in process areas. Delivery, coordination, monitoring, and assessment of all operators OJT (On-the-Job Training) occurring in the assigned area. Create & continuously improve training material for processing . Collaborate cross-functionally with key stakeholders to optimize training material Incorporate Global BOP’s in the training process including yearly equipment audits as required. Deliver new Technical services documentation and training. Development, maintenance and continuously improve training outlines, documentation, SOP based training materials, data, tools, evaluation/assessment materials and processes. Delivery of other training initiatives (e.g. GMP, Safety, new hire orientation, forklift, fall arrest etc.) as determined and assigned by the Training Manager. Planning and scheduling of employee training. Ensure the maintenance, integrity and accuracy of training records. Conduct cross functional meetings to ensure training plans are communicated and executed properly. Ability to provide constructive feedback to trainees while maintaining a positive attitude. Work with employees to expand skill level, confidence and understanding. Provide support in other areas of production as required. Support all MDI initiatives. Assist in all production developments including new equipment upgrades. Participation in safety initiatives (e.g. JHSC) Other related duties as assigned. Required Education, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (Competencies) Minimum Grade 12 education. Must be qualified in at least 2 operator’s positions. Proven ability to work independently, prioritize and complete tasks with a keen sense of urgency. Excellent organization, time management, oral and written communication skills. Good training and presentation abilities. Training experience is an asset. Proficient with Microsoft Suite. A strong team player while being collaborative in cross functional teams. Ability to work with minimal supervision and direction. Physical Requirements Some heavy and/or repetitive lifting (up to 40lbs) for on the job training purposes. Position is 75% sedentary.
