By providing the majority of mechanical requirements in-house, including engineering, 3D-design, plumbing, sheet metal, HVAC, refrigeration, and controls, we are a “ONE-STOP” shop for any project. We are looking for permanent full-time Plumbing Apprentices and Journeymen for high-rise residential projects in Vancouver, Richmond, Surrey, Langley, and New Westminster with more to come. What We Offer: $24 - 48 per hour depending on experience Employer Paid Benefits Package (Ext Health, Dental, Vision, AD&D, LTD, Life, EAP, Critical Illness) $500 Annually in Health Care Spending Account / Healthy Living Account Employer RRSP Matching Paid Parking Paid Vacation & Holidays Great Company Culture Company Events (BC Lions Games, Christmas Party/Lunch, Pizza Days, etc.) Competitive Wages and Career Growth Opportunities into Leadership Roles Duties will include: Installing piping for different systems (HRVS, ERVS, VRF, 4-pipe fan coils, 2-pipe fan coils, vertical heat pumps) Installing and layout of piping systems including piping for drainage, domestic water, stainless, and gas Installing all seismic for all piping and equipment Installing fixtures including rough-in components Hanging and installing all piping and equipment Reading and interpreting blueprints Locate and mark locations for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors Testing pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges Qualifications and Experience: Red Seal Certification in Plumbing considered an asset but not required Previous plumbing experience and/or transferable construction trade skills considered an asset Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, inspection reports, etc. Ability to work with subcontractors and vendors Ability to meet sensitive timeline Ability to work within a team environment Ability to adapt to the changes of the day-to-day workloads Skills and Abilities: Self-motivated, with initiative to take on a wide variety of tasks Confident decision making and high ethical standards Good verbal and written communication skills Good interpersonal skills and a high level of professionalism Problem solving skills and the ability to think and react quickly under pressure Reliable, dependable and professional Career-minded individual seeking opportunity for future growth Ocean Park Mechanical is an equal-opportunity employer that values diversity and encourages applicants of all backgrounds.
