Personal Support Worker (PSW) responsibilities include : Ability to provide support and care of residents with an acceptable standard of skill, sense of responsibility, dignity, and respect for privacy. Provide general attention to the client(s) needs following an established Plan of Care. This may include meal service, light housekeeping, laundry and personal care, hygiene, and assistance with activities of daily living. Assist with medication and appointment reminders. Record and report changes in the clients physical condition, behaviour, or appearance to supervisor. Report any unusual incidents and act quickly in cases of emergency. Document services delivered in accordance with FirstLight Home Care Canada policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will have : Personal Support Worker Certificate from a Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities or the Ministry of Education approved program Valid Vulnerable Sector Criminal Check Valid Standard First Aid Updated immunization record (TB test within 1 year) Proficient verbal and written English communication skills Flexible work schedule (Monday to Friday and Saturday to Sunday) Valid drivers license and access to a motor vehicle required to work Education : PSW Certificate will suffice for Personal Support Worker
