About the Opportunity Under the direction of the program manager and the supervision of an occupational therapist (OT), the occupational therapy assistant completes therapeutic and technical support duties in the delivery of occupational therapy services to Nova Scotia Health clients both independently and collaboratively with health care team members and students. The occupational therapy assistant is responsible to adhere to Nova Scotia Health policies and procedures. About You We would love to hear from you if you have the following: Graduated from a recognized community college occupational assistant program including three hundred hours minimum of clinical experience. Basic Cardiac Life Support certification demonstrated knowledge of the uses and sources of commercially available assistive devices and equipment demonstrated knowledge of the properties and uses of various types of thermoplastic and splinting materials basic computer skills ability to operation and maintain variety of appliances and power equipment Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred Please ensure your resume is up to date and includes all relevant education, experience, training, and certifications. Hours Permanent, Full-Time position; 75 hours bi-weekly Compensation and Incentives $22.84 - $25.95 Hourly Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
