Summary: We are looking for a highly motivated and energetic Senior Mechanical Draftsperson to join our Drafting team. You must have good communication skills, are a team player, are able to focus on details and have a natural drive to accuracy. The successful candidate must be proficient in SolidWorks, and experience with AutoCAD and/or Solidworks PDM software will be a plus. What You'll Do: Follow engineering prototypes and markups to generate 3D models and produce parts and assembly drawings. Take ownership of data management and revision control. Perform dimensions and other basic calculations. Check and verify design drawings to conform to specification and design data. Review and process drawing change request. Make drawing changes and update file properties. Prepare documentation package for engineering design release. Oversee drafting team workload and priorities. Supervise and train junior draftspersons. Lead team working procedure improvement. Support manufacturing, marketing and sales teams with documentation requests. What You'll Bring: Diploma or certificate in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Knowledge of 3D modeling, drawing dimensioning and tolerance labeling. Proficiency in SolidWorks with 2 years of industry experience is mandatory. Experience with SolidWorks feature of Reference geometry, Hole wizard, Pattern, Multi-configuration and design table, Swept boss, Assembly mates, drawing views and BOMs. Preference will be given to candidates with a knowledge of Solidworks PDM. Familiar with Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel. Able to work in a team environment. Highly proficient in project planning to ensure timely completion of assignments. Able to work in a team environment. Ability to switch back and forth between multiple projects within tight deadlines. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
