About the Opportunity Reporting to the Director of Project Services & Enterprise Risk Management, the Manager of Project Services oversees a team of project managers, senior project managers and advisors who manage and coordinate a wide array of projects throughout NS Health. The Manager of Project Services has oversight responsibility for the team’s projects and the project support model offered within the organization. In the performance of their duties, the Manager of Project Services engages and collaborates with clients, sponsors, key stakeholders and internal and external partners, including (but not limited to) clinical health services, operations, corporate services, IWK, DHW, contractors, consultants, vendors, and clinicians. The Manager of Project Services partners with these leaders to design and recommend strategies that drive the achievement of targeted, measurable and sustainable clinical and operational improvements, aligning with the direction of NS Health Executive and NS Government. This is a Provincial position utilizing a hybrid workplace model that combines working from home with working onsite. Candidates can live and work from anywhere in the province, with travel required only as necessary. About You We would love to hear from you if you have the following: Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education, training and experience 7-10 years’ progressive leadership experience 5 years’ experience working in Healthcare Project Management Professional (PMP) designation a strong asset Master’s degree an asset, particularly in health administration, leadership or business administration Certified Health Executive (CHE) designation an asset Change Management Certification an asset Experience managing a wide range of complex projects and stakeholder teams Experience and success in developing project and portfolio management strategies, processes and tools for large scale application Strong interpersonal skills and consultation within a diverse range of stakeholder teams Strong budgeting and project estimating skills. Proven record of success working with staff, contractors, consultants, developers and clients. Strong knowledge of health care issues Ability to execute through effective delegation, motivation and oversight Experience in leading teams of staff with indirect accountabilities to other operational units Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred Please ensure your resume is up to date and includes all relevant education, experience, training, and certifications.
