Review and proofread documents and correspondence to ensure compliance with legal procedures and grammatical usage. Manage the client's schedule by scheduling meetings, appointments, and conferences. Maintain and organize legal records, knowing legal procedures and safeguarding confidential information. Manage incoming mail, both physical and electronic, and coordinate information flow internally and externally. Design and implement effective office procedures and routines to enhance overall efficiency. Act as a point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries and providing updates on case progress. Conduct legal research using online databases and other resources. Assist with preparing invoices, tracking billable hours, and managing billing records. Utilize legal software and technology to manage documents and track case developments. Provide general administrative support, including answering phones, managing emails, and coordinating office supplies. Stay updated on changes in legal regulations, procedures, and technologies through ongoing professional development. Job Requirements Completion of Secondary school. Minimum 1 year of experience or completion of one- or two-year college degree or other program for secretaries or legal secretaries. Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Exceptional organizational and analytical abilities to effectively manage legal documents and correspondence. Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, is essential for efficient handling of legal administrative tasks.
