We are constantly looking for new and better ways to plan, manage, budget, and invest. We currently have an exciting co-op opportunity as a Junior Financial Analyst. About Our Opportunity As a Junior Financial Analyst, you will be a part of the Financial Advisory Services team. You will assist with the financial analysis on a variety of projects including, but not limited to, reconciliation of accounts, comparative analysis, historical analysis and improvements to efficiency and effectiveness of financial services delivery. You will assist with the budget preparation and forecast process including analysis of salary and fringe benefits. This position requires using discretion when dealing with highly confidential and sensitive information. As the Junior Financial Analyst, you will work under the guidance of the Budget Officer. About You This may be the right opportunity for you if you are an undergraduate student enrolled in a business administration or commerce cooperative education program. You possess strong computer skills and are proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). The successful candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational skills with the ability to meet multiple deadlines and will be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities. While not required, it is considered an asset if you have knowledge of the corporate financial management system (SAP) as well as customer service experience. We will assess the above qualifications and competencies using one or more of the following tools: written examination, standardized tests, oral presentations, interview(s), and reference checks. Additional Information This is a co-op opportunity with an anticipated start date of September 2, 2024 and ending December 13, 2024 . The appointment status (‘term’, ‘temporary’ or ‘casual’) is dependent on the start date of the successful candidate.
