Requisition ID: 159521 Opportunity Type: Permanent Estimated Annual Salary: 300,000 - 350,000 Type of Remuneration: FFS - Fee For Service Site Visit & Reallocation Allowance Programs: Relocation Program; Site Visit Program For information and to determine eligibility for Department of Health and Wellness Incentives, please contact XXXX@novascotia.ca About the Opportunity The Cape Breton Regional Hospital (CBRH) is seeking a permanent 1.0 FTE component for mixed Clinical-Medical Microbiology or full Clinical consultative service to the Infectious Diseases subdivision of the EZ Internal Medicine Department. Cape Breton Regional Hospital (CBRH) is the second largest hospital in Nova Scotia. This facility provides most sub-specialized services houses a Level 2A ICU. CBRH and zonal operations needs further Infectious Diseases support in the realms of clinical/inpatient service, Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) support, Antimicrobial Stewardship (AS), and physician-led Medical Microbiology leadership. CBRH is home to a fully operational microbiology and diagnostic/pathology laboratory, which supports EZ and surrounding zone. Responsibilities delivery of comprehensive primary health care services to patients of all ages and stages of health or illness work with other providers in the clinic to provide cross coverage and same day access participate in quality improvement and evaluation activities utilize an electronic medical record (EMR) and record all relevant patient details in a provincially approved EMR which is accessible to all collaborating team members Qualifications All applicants must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS) Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) FRCPC-equivalent specialty training for Infectious Diseases or Medical Microbiology Community Details Failte (that’s “welcome”, for those not up to speed on their Gaelic)!
