ABOUT THE ROLE The Growth Marketing Lead will play a pivotal role in supporting the TransAlta Global Growth team. Working closely with the Growth team, they will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies in collaboration with external affairs teams. The primary focus will be on defining key audiences within the target growth markets and devising strategies to increase brand awareness through various channels such as conference attendance, digital marketing, sponsorships, and speaking opportunities. WHAT YOU WILL DO Collaborate with internal stakeholders, particularly external affairs teams, to identify target audiences within identified growth markets. Develop comprehensive marketing strategies tailored to each growth market, utilizing a mix of offline and online channels. Lead efforts to increase brand visibility and awareness through strategic initiatives such as conference participation, digital marketing campaigns, sponsorships, and securing speaking opportunities. Work closely with the growth development team to understand their needs and proactively develop communication and marketing tools to support their objectives. Create and implement tools, templates, and strategies to ensure consistent communication of TransAlta's value proposition and brand presence across all touchpoints. Monitor and analyze the performance of marketing initiatives, adjusting strategies as needed to optimize results and achieve growth objectives. Proficient in social media management, including strategic planning, content development, scheduling, and posting Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to identify new opportunities for growth and innovation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of marketing efforts with overall business goals and objectives. WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred. Proven track record of success in developing and executing marketing strategies that drive growth and increase brand awareness, preferably in a B2B environment. Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely. Strategic thinker with a data-driven approach to decision-making and a demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret marketing metrics. Highly organized with strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience in the energy or utility industry is a plus, but not required, ideally in one or more of the following markets: Canada, USA and Australia Proficiency in marketing automation tools, CRM systems, social media management and analytics platforms.
