You will also play a vital role as an expert witness when required and ensuring adherence to regulatory and corporate policies and procedures.Responsibilities1- Forensic Accounting Conduct thorough loss assessments for clients Serve as an expert witness in legal proceedings Detect and investigate financial fraud cases Rebutting flawed forensic accounting reports prepared by others 2- Audit and Review Provide tax compliance services for individuals and businesses Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements Oversee corporate policies and procedures compliance Qualifications Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation 8+ years of experience in forensic accounting and audit Proven expertise in loss assessment, fraud detection, and expert witness services Strong knowledge of tax regulations and compliance Familiarity with regulatory and corporate policies and procedures Excellent understanding of auditing standards and practices Experience in bankruptcy is considered an asset Experience as an expert witness is regarded as an asset Experience acting as CFO, Controller, or other corporate management roles is viewed as an asset Experience in working for big public accounting firms is considered an asset Industry experience is viewed as an asset Experience with cryptocurrency accounting and fraud is regarded as an asset. Skills Exceptional analytical and investigative skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy Ability to provide expert witness testimony in a clear and concise manner Outstanding organizational and time-management skills Knowledge of emerging accounting technologies is considered an asset Application DeadlineWe have an ongoing need for this position from time to time.
