Location: Victoria, BC Employment Type: Regular Full Time Union: MOVEUP Monthly Salary Range: MoveUp Group 10 , MIN $6,443.00 - MAX $7,726.00 is available through annual general wage/step increases. Recruitment Range : MIN $6,443 – STEP 3 $7,154. Placement in the salary range is determined by an assessment of knowledge, skills, experience and ability of the candidate to meet the key requirements of the job. The Financial Analyst under direction of the Senior Regional Financial Manager gathers, analyses, and reports performance data related to BC Transit's core business. This includes both internal and external metrics systems. This individual is responsible for ensuring data is presented in a clear and actionable manner while supporting management with information that assists their decision making. He/she will participate in complex and time sensitive projects. To view the full job description for this role please see the attached . What you'll bring to the table... We value lifelong learners and have found the following combination of education and experience allows people to be successful in this role: Senior level experience with accounting, budgeting or financial planning experience involving analysis of complex financial information, long range financial modelling and creating reports for management Advanced proficiency with MS Excel, complex spreadsheets and financial modelling Experience with JD Edwards, Hubble, and Power BI an asset What we'll bring to the table...
