Key Job Responsibilities Take responsibility (either directly or via staff) for all cash management, investments, financial reporting, and budgeting, and help drive the company’s financial strategy. Demonstrate knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), Transfer Pricing and arm's length principle. Ensure cash flow is compatible with operations by overseeing day-to-day accounting, recording, reporting, and internal-control activities of the organization. Develop finance organizational strategies by contributing financial and accounting information, analysis, and recommendations to strategic thinking and direction and establishing functional objectives in line with organizational objectives. Develop and implement best practices and tools to ensure a well-controlled yet flexible organization that has strong fiscal management, project coordination, cross-team communications, and workflows. Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement, and implementing new processes. Manage the budget process by functions, geographies, and roles. Work with senior managers to efficiently develop budget proposals, provide access to project finance information, and ensure contracts compliance and reporting. Managing all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results. Coordinating and preparing internal and external financial statements. Evaluating the effectiveness of accounting software and as needed § Overseeing financial team in day-to-day operations. Manage monthly and annual reports to identify results, trends, and financial forecasts. Suggest updates and improvements for accounting systems, including payroll and invoicing. Develop budgets and financial plans for the company based on research and data reports. Monitor Cashflow and necessary forecasting. Recommending improvements to ensure the integrity of a company’s financial information. Scope of Responsibilities Research revenue opportunities and economic trends, analyze internal operations, and identify areas for cost reduction and process enhancement. Develop financial well-being of the organization by providing financial projections and accounting services, preparing growth plans, and directing staff. Oversee all company accounts globally. Manage Investment portfolio with annual investments ranging $3M - $5M. Maximize return on invested funds by identifying investment opportunities and maintaining relationships with the investment community. Perform risk management through analysis of company liabilities and investments and evaluate and manage capital structure and fundraising initiatives. Examine all financial reports and data closely to check for discrepancies. Monitor business performance with tracking tools, establish corrective measures as needed, and prepare detailed reports for board of directors and management team. Manage overall financials regulations encompassing various entities globally. Establish and implement financial reporting systems to comply with government regulations and legislation. Work with external Accounting and Audit teams in various regions for compliances, filings and other regulatory matters. Review month-end and year-end close process Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls. Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings. Identifying and managing business risks and insurance requirements. Managing relationships with investors and investment institutions Required skills and qualifications Five or more years of experience in executive leadership roles. Professional certification (ex: Certified Public Accountant or equivalent). Excellent leadership skills, with steadfast resolve and personal integrity. Master’s degree (or equivalent experience) in accounting, business accounting, or finance. International finance experience. Experience in corporate restructuring, cost restructuring, mergers and acquisitions and investor relations. Working knowledge of AI-powered systems for automation of data collection, analysis, and reporting processes for enabling faster and more accurate financial insights. Working knowledge of how to raise capital outside traditional lines of credit. Exceptional verbal, written, and visual communication skills. Understanding of advanced accounting, regulatory issues, and tax planning.
