We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need of personal care. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in improving the quality of life for our clients by helping them with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and well-being.Duties: Provide personal care services such as bathing, grooming, and dressing Assist with mobility and transfers Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding if necessary Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment Provide companionship and engage in meaningful activities with clients Monitor and report any changes in clients' physical or mental condition Collaborate with healthcare professionals, such as nurses or hospice care providers, to ensure the best possible care for clients Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures Skills:To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills: Caregiving experience, preferably in a home care or assisted living setting Knowledge of hospice care principles and practices Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with mobility needs Proficiency in meal preparation and knowledge of proper nutrition Familiarity with medication administration procedures Understanding of senior care needs and challenges Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals Languages: English Education: College/CEGEP or equivalent experience Experience: Healthcare experience for persons with disability is an asset. Asset Language: Tagalog Work Site Environment: Non-smoking Work Setting: Work at Employer/client's home Certificates needed: CPR Certificate First Aid Certificate Additional InformationSecurity and Safety: Basic Security Clearance Reference Required.
