Gabby (middle East) Kp - March 9 Flight If Home, Labrador Retriever For Adoption

Location:
Langley, BC
Description:

GabbyBreed: Labrador Retriever Age: 1.5 years old Gender: female spayed Weight: 23 kg Height: 55 cm Hi there everybody - hope I can come to Canada soon - the shelter where I am is no place for a dog like me and I think I may be developing depression. I have heard that this mood will lift once a dog has a home without so many dogs. My name is Gabby and I am a super kind, and very playful pup! My left arm never grew to its full size when I was a baby due to a birth defect, I am always limping but you wouldn’t know it when you see me play. I love to play with other dogs nonstop. I am extremely friendly, but I might be shy when you first meet me. It doesn’t take me long to warm up to people though. I will be on my back asking you for belly rubs in no time. I have mostly had exposure to smaller dogs and terriers, but I also get along really well with people and bigger dogs. You just need to give me a chance. I really hope to be able to come to Canada soon, because honestly, living in a shelter and limping around all the time it’s not the most ideal situation for me. I would love to be in a more comfortable environment with loving parents that will help me thrive and be the pup I want to be and have the life I deserve. I really hope that you will end up being my person! Energy level: active and playful and loves to be around people to get cuddles and attentionsGet along with Other dogs: yes Children: yes Cats: unknown Prey Drive: not at all, however my adopter needs to be willing to train me should these behaviors ariseFears: not really, except for maybe not finding a home I will probably need some patience to get used to my new environmentTraining:Leash training: She's good with leash Housetrained: She goes out but still need training Health notes: I am missing my left arm because of a birth defect, but it does not hinder me from living a normal and playful life. I have been vaccinated, spayed and microchipped. My adoption fee is 850.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. This includes my transportation to Canada, if I am able to be accompanied by a fight volunteer directly to Vancouver Gabby with other dogs https://youtu.be/utt0x5HZvcM?si=I2oMHX73b4qVVXvq Gabby being touched with people https://youtu.be/-rkwQFL7AnA?si=fftIzoFFTyb7HgQM Gabby with people https://youtu.be/P7CrChXz9eY?si=AUG6v6YEw52eA4-C Gabby relaxing https://youtu.be/FPlZCPi2mUA?si=qbm53rbNhAbM9VSU Gabby around other dogs https://youtu.be/HQ5VGUdll-s?si=rXOQX04N7fvRSude Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue. Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordatella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East. ##1822960##Adoption processWe offer a foster to adopt program for adopters of overseas dogs. As they will be taking their dog home straight from the airport, they have a couple of weeks to decide if the dog is a fit. In the rare times the dog isn’t found suitable we will find the dog another home.
