Apple is a super sweet, slender long-legged 8 month old 11lb Norfolk terrier cross puppy who wants to press her face up right up against yours. In her previous home, she grew up with her sister so she is used to close cuddles with pets as well as the person she bonds with. Her foster moms say she is very comfortable with both cats and dogs, and she’s learning about giving personal space. She is initially timid towards men - she barked at the men in the house the first time she saw them - but warms up fast with a ton of treats and affection. She is very motivated by words of affirmation and praise, and when comfortable she plays a lot! Apple is not used to a collar or walking on leash, but that is being worked on. She can jump quite high and would likely do well in agility or another running sport, and once she is used to walking, is likely to love outdoor adventures as well. Apple is just as comfortable being at home in bed with a toy as following you around the house and playing in the backyard. She is close to being fully housetrained and asks to go outside in the backyard. She is a bit sensitive to noises and needs socialization and desensitization specifically to the sound of cars. She does shed a little bit, so allergy sufferers may not be appropriate for her as adopters. Apple would make an incredible addition to a household looking for a sweet, playful puppy who has a fenced in yard and who will not leave her alone for long hours. ••••••••• As my foster family gets to know me my profile can change and will be updated accordingly. All applications are subject to reference checks, home checks prior to meeting any of our dogs. All adopters are required to sign an adoption contract and must adhere to requirements stated in this contract, and follow ups are done post adoption. Our rescue is solely run by volunteers, we strive to return calls and inquiries within a 24 hour period. You will be contacted only if the foster family believes you may be a match.
