Duke is a senior dog looking for a nice retirement home during his golden years. He arrived as a stray and we were unable to find his previous owners. Duke really seems like a one-man dog. He’s loyal to his human, doesn’t care for strangers or other animals, and would prefer to have all the TLC for himself. He enjoys playing outside, going for long walks, and entertains himself with chew toys. SO MANY CHEW TOYS!! Duke may have some mild resource guarding with his toys. He’s quite grumbly while playing but will trade for something more valuable. For this reason, a home with young children is not recommended.Duke appears to have had chronic issues with his ears. He’s currently had a great response to treatment but will likely require ongoing management. He also has a small lump on his head that needs to be monitored. We would be happy to provide a copy of his medical records for review with your own vet prior to adoption.Please contact Toronto Animal Services West Region at 416-338-XXXX to discuss the adoption process. Meet and greets are scheduled by appointment.
