*******************************************************Thomas is part of a bonded pair and MUST be adopted with his friend, Hershey.**********************************************************AT SHELTER***Meet our terrific Thomas!Thomas came to us from a farm, but besides that, not much is known about his past. So how do we know he's terrific? Because he's shown how sweet, playful, and affectionate he is!Thomas's farm life left him with little human interaction, and it took him a little while to get used to people. But since then, he's made significant progress in getting comfortable around humans! He was a bit hissy and swatty at first, but now he'll lean into pets, enjoying every second of it! In particular, he loves having his cheeks scratched (and who can resist them-they're so chubby!). When you hit the right spot, he'll start purring like a little motor and he might even roll over to show you his lovely belly! He's always the first one out of the room when he and his roommates get their (supervised) time to explore the shelter, and he always makes sure heto says "hi" to all the other kitties! Often, he'll also rub up against the legs of our volunteers, shadowing them while they go about their chores. When he's not cuddled up with his friend Hershey, he's either waiting for his next meal or showing off his youthful energy by playing with a mouse toy or a ball.Thomas has FIV, which is a virus that weakens the immune system of a cat. It is not transmissible to humans or other species. Cats who have FIV can live just as long as other cats if they are properly cared for with a good diet, indoor home, loving family, and vet checkups twice a year. Thomas does not require medication, but he'd enjoy having another friendly FIV+ cat (like Hershey!) to snuggle with in his new home!Treat Thomas to a nice home to rule! Apply now, and Thomas'll give you his list of requirements for the house (which'll definitely include a nice and cozy bed for him and Hershey to snuggle in!)--------------------The adoption fee for a single cat at EHS is $175. Take home an adult feline friend for your kitty and the adoption fee for the pair is $300! For kittens under six months of age, the adoption fee is $200...Or double your cuteness quotient and adopt two wee furballs for $350! If you mix and match (kitten plus cat), the adoption fee is $300. Each of our cats is spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, snap tested for FIV/FeLV, dewormed, and flea treated prior to adoption. Kittens are not spayed or neutered until 5 months of age, but the cost of spay/neuter will be covered as part of the adoption.--------------------Interested in adopting Thomas? It's easy!
