Hello! My name is Vaquita! I have a beautiful shiny, smooth silver-grey coat, which is why my foster mom named me after a type of dolphin! I was born on a farm and was lucky enough to be found by people who care about cats. They saved me, my mom, and all my brothers by taking us to SCAT. Since I wasn't born in a house, I'm still a little bit shy, but my foster mom cannot believe how brave I've been! After only a few days in my foster home, I was taking treats out of my mom's hand (why wouldn't I?? Have you tasted how good Temptations treats are?!), accepting pets, getting brushed, and showing off my super loud purr! My foster mom can give me pets and scratches all over- but I'm still working on not being scared when I get picked up. I LOVE to get brushed. My foster mom tells me that she has never met a cat that likes to be brushed as much as I do. As soon as you brush my head or cheeks, I can't help but flop over on my back and start purring! I'll also make biscuits for you while you brush me. My foster mom also told me how impressed she was with my manners. I use the litter box without making a mess, and love my kibble (please don't feed me wet food- I don't understand the hype and think it's gross). I'm also very quiet- my foster mom studies next to me to keep me company and I never make a peep! I'd be a very good coworker because I won't disturb you (but would still like if you could reach over for the odd pet during your work please). I've been around other cats and do not mind them. I've never been around a dog, but I would probably be ok with a calm one that didn't chase me. I've also never been around kids, but if a kid will sit with me and brush me without trying to pick me up or chase me, then I'm sure I'll love them too! My ideal family would have people who understand that I'm still being brave and getting used to being a good boy inside. Hopefully these people would spend lots of time with me and give me lots of brushing and pets! Even though I'm still shy, I much prefer human company over being alone! I wouldn't mind sharing my home with another polite cat, and could put up with kids or dogs as long as they don't chase me or pick me up. Want to meet me and come hear my super loud purr??
