The engine compartment reveals color-matched gelcoat, a diamond plate base and cleanly routed wiring.�An important feature of the Wellcraft 38 Scarab is its solid construction. The hull and the deck are bonded together with fiberglass and through-bolted; the fiberglass is hand-laid; there are micro balloon-filled strakes for additional strength; and a glass encapsulated stringer system with an integral stress distribution pad.
