Kestrel is a meticulously maintained Baltic 38DP and she is one of only 55 ever made. This was one of Baltic?s most successful builds and was designed by renowned Naval Architect Doug Peterson. She is a genuine racer cruiser, which means�she can hold steady in big seas in an offshore ocean crossing�and is a very comfortable cruiser or racer for coastal sailing. She can also be single-handed, sailed with a couple, or raced with a full crew with her excellent access above decks to lines and halyards. With her beautifully appointed teak decking above decks, coupled with the craftsmanship and design of a warm and inviting teak interior below decks, you can easily find yourself spending just as much time above, as below. The interior with it?s well positioned bulkheads allows for moving around the space safely and easily and there is ample light from all of the hatches, port lights, and deck prisms making her very comfortable to spend time in at anchor or in a harbor. The original teak decks were replaced in 2012 with glued teak decks so there are no fasteners to worry about. The sails were updated in 2017 as well as electronics.
