This vessel was designed by Bill Crealock and was closely patterned after one of Colin Archer?s classic double-enders.� She is a class ?A? sailing sloop with a cutter rig, originally laid up in California.� PAX DEI has undergone a very thorough refit from 2009 to 2012 by a cabinetmaker whose skill at teak wood joinery was outstanding.� She is a long-keeled, double-ender designed for blue water sailing.� The Westsail?s reputation for handling heavy weather is legendary.� The deck layout is conventional and these vessels are renowned for having a safe foredeck.� Work on the side decks is protected by raised bulwarks at the deck edge, drains at deck level, a small open cockpit also with drains, and a small stern deck and lazarette.� She has accommodation is for 4-5 people with very handsome and comfortable live-aboard facilities, including head and other washroom amenities.
