Description:
This is a production built Uniflite 27, constructed of a single skin FRP (FiberglassReinforced Plastic) with deck and superstructure of FRP and balsa core. It has amodified Vee bottom, and a single hard chine. The boat is a civilian model of thelegendary Vietnam river gunboats, built by Uniflite to support the American wareffort in South-East Asia in the 60’s.The vessel is currently in process of continuous upgrading by the current owner,with new aluminum windows with anodized aluminum frames and upgraded cabinsole and bulkhead linings.The accommodations provide a double V-berth forward, followed aft by the salonarea. The salon has a U-shaped settee with a pedestal table on the port side, and agalley on the starboard side, with countertop, sink and LPG stove. The dining areacan be converted into a double berth.On the port side, aft, the enclosed head compartment is located, complete with sinkand vanity cabinet, a newly installed marine head with macerator pump, and ashower.Up to steps from the main salon, a central opening in the bulkhead leads out to thefully enclosed cockpit. The helm station is located on the port side, with enginecontrols, steering and instrumentation, as well as a swivel captain’s seat. Amatching, co-pilot seat is located on the starboard side.The spacious cockpit provides access over the transom to the built-in swim grid,currently used as storage for the tender. A Dickinson LPG barbecue is installedcentrally on the transom.The engine compartment is accessed through a large hatch in the salon sole. Theforward bulkhead has the fuel line manifolds, and the batteries are distributed onboth the port and starboard side of the engines.The propulsion power is provided by a 250 HP GM 350 Vee Eight engine, via Hurthreduction gear and stainless steel 1 ½ ” shaft, to a three blade propeller, able topropel the vessel to speeds up to 24 mph, comfortably cruising at 21 mph.Work Completed During Ownership:• New head (power toilet), macerator• New fridge• New fuel system from tank to engine, pumps, hoses, fittings, valves• New/upgraded wiring throughout mechanical systems, wheelhouse, and living quarters• New sliding windows port and starboard• New canopy• Replacement of stern sections port and starboard wheelhouse walls• New added heater• New additional house battery and charging system• Restored teak trim• New floor interiorMaintenance:• Regular cleaning above waterline• Maintains a clean bilge• Annual bottom cleaning and below waterline inspection by diver• Lifted as needed to replace sacrificial anodes and marine survey• Fire extinguishers and required safety equipmentComes with:• Tender with electric motor, battery, and charging system• Crab traps• BBQ• Propane stove• GPS, depth sounder, VHS
