Introducing Louie! He was found as a stray but never claimed. He enjoys chewing his millet and is fantastic at whistling! He currently isn`t hand-tamed but he does engage with people when they talk to him. Here is ome general information on budgies:Budgerigars are social animals and require stimulation in the shape of toys and interaction with humans or with other budgerigars. Budgerigars, and especially females, will chew material such as wood. Tame budgerigars can be taught to speak, whistle and play with humans. Both males and females sing and can learn to mimic sounds and words and do simple tricks, but singing and mimicry are more pronounced and better perfected in males. Females rarely learn to mimic more than a dozen words. They prefer to live in pairs. Contact Toronto Animal Services West region to start the adoption process.
