Vice President Professional Services
The Vice President of Professional Services will have overall responsibility for Professional Services. The incumbent will work directly with the Executive Vice President, and collaborate with a motivated, experienced executive team to build an organization that delivers strong financial results and long term organic growth on a global scale. WHAT YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE: Planning * Create and execute a plan to deliver on-going organic revenue growth in the business * Build a global team of professionals with varied skillsets * Forecast revenues and expenses for the business * Establish clear, measurable objectives for the team based on the BU’s strategic commitments. Monitor and measure these objectives regularly, providing coaching and discipline. * Manage the creation of deliverables for Statements of Work (SOW) * Collaborate together with Support and R&D leadership to streamline the entire customer solution delivery cycle. Customer Relationships * Provide sales assistance as required with RFP responses and onsite presentations * Create project SOWs related to client implementations * Provide proactive customer follow-up, communication & issue management * Ensure contractual obligations are met and a high-level of customer satisfaction is maintained Leadership * Supervise and manage the Professional Services department * Act as a mentor to direct reports and high-potential employees to ensure continued talent development within the organization * Work with the department’s team to establish longterm strategies for deliveries of services for all product lines * Communicate plans, concerns, and ideas with sales, product, development and support teams to ensure business alignment * Possess a high degree of comfort managing challenging customer and employee situations. * Drive Operational Excellence into the strategic and tactical initiatives of your team WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: * 5+ years’ background general management experience in a software service company * 5+ years’ background managing Professional Services, Project Management Office or similar execution teams * Establish and maintain executive level relationships with key customers * The expertise to oversee and sponsor 10-20 projects with your team of project managers, business analysts, and implementation consultants * Previous ownership and management of a P&L * Background managing multi-functional group of 10-20 people * Expertise to travel up to 25% * Preference for a Canadian-based applicant that will work from our Calgary office WHAT WOULD MAKE YOU STAND OUT: * General managerial experience in a vertical market company * Background in the De-regulated Retail energy or utilities sector WHAT WE OFFER * three weeks' vacation and five personal days * Comprehensive Medical, Dental and Vision coverage from your 1st day of employment * Employee stock ownership and RRSP/401k matching programs * Charitable social committee * And more!
