Tax Reviewer (Contract Role)

Look no further! What will your typical day look like? Our Private Audit team is looking for a number of detail oriented Tax Reviewers to join our team. This position will be a contract hourly position to assist with the tax filing deadlines in March and April 2020. You will review personal tax returns prepared by staff, and provide guidance and training for newer staff preparing returns. As well as provide recommendations on return preparation regarding accuracy, and available tax credits/deductions. You will also ensure the reviewed tax returns are completed and sent for final review. You will focus on serving privately owned clients and will have an opportunity to work with a variety of business sectors including manufacturing, agriculture, retail/service, construction, real-estate, transportation, professional services and others. Enough about us, let’s talk about you You are someone with: A min of 1-2 yrs of background reviewing T1 Tax returns is required; as well as 2-3 yrs’ prior background completing T1 Tax returns Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance would be preferred Knowledge on Taxprep software is an asset (including CCH Scan); strong Microsoft office suite skills and the expertise to pick up new software quickly Strong oral and writing skills, and the expertise to work both independently and part of a team Possess excellent analytical, research and organization skills, and have exceptional attention to detail Bilingualism in French and English will be considered an asset Why Deloitte?
