POSITION TITLE: Tactical Mobile Operations (TMO) Supervisor DEPARTMENT: Paladin Security MANAGER: Security Programs Manager – Critical Infrastructure Job Description: The Tactical Mobile Operations Supervisor (TMO Supervisor) is responsible for fulfilling all aspects of the Critical Infrastructure Program from performing physical security presence, surveillance, technical analysis, security projects, security assignments, and other administrative tasks. Tactical Mobile Operations Team is an elite team of tactically minded individuals whose main objective is the prevention and efficient elimination of criminal activity in the Lower Mainland, Metro Vancouver and beyond. The supervisor is responsible for oversight, daily planning, accolades, and coaching, for all Tactical Mobile Unit (TMU) members. As a TMO Supervisor, you must have experience in many different proactive crime prevention program methods, including video surveillance, emergency response, and surveillance operation. The TMO team Supervisor is unique within Paladin Security, and this challenging role directly translates into advancing your supervisory and management skills in the security industry. This position requires you as a supervisor to be prepared to provide an exceptional level of leadership, guidance, and support to the team. Duties and Responsibilities: * Respond to accident calls and emergencies. * Report any issues, with full details to the Security Command Centre in a timely manner. * Dispatch and work with first responders (Police/Fire/ Ambulance). * Assist in the development of standard operating procedures and work process related to the TMU program. * Conduct frequent security evaluations and risk assessments of client facilities and provide appropriate recommendations for safety and security improvements * Travel to satellite sites as required during deployments. * Write and update incident reports for various security incidents that occur during your shift, as well as corrective action documents. * Review all reports submitted to ensure accuracy. * Complete security operations plan for any high profile TMU deployments. * Effective, regular communications with the Management Team. * Provide support, leadership, and supervision to a team of TMU Officers, which includes but is not limited to conducting orientations, quality assurance, training and development, mentoring, and completing performance evaluations for each TMU members * Support and resolve escalated performance-related matters when required. Elevate disputes, issues, and recommendations to the Security Programs Manager as required for resolution or to seek guidance. * Act as the point of contact for sick calls/book offs for the TMU program and working to fill open shifts as necessary during working hours. * Provide planning and logistical support for various security operations involving Tactical Mobile Units. * Assist with communication and support link between Security Command Centre, TMU, other Critical Infrastructure programs, and external support programs such as Human Resources, and IT. * Maintain a good rapport with all Paladin Employees and Critical Infrastructure staff, while being cognizant of the confidential information. * Manages and maintains all required program regulatory compliance credentials including clearances and access levels. * Manage Occupational health and safety (OHS) safety talks, monthly meeting minutes, and assist in completing OHS documentation and follow up. Ensure all staff are fully knowledgeable of the OHS program. Provide guidance when needed. * Provide potential after-hours support for emergency incidents. * Complete any other tasks given by the Client, Security Command Center, or Security Programs Manager. * Audit and maintenance of contractual certification requirements, including any compliance related requirements (i.e. NERC compliance requirements, restricted access privileges, etc.) * Conduct and oversee Field Investigations. Review and analyze trends to provide operational recommendations for program improvement Requirements * Must have a minimum 3 years of security experience and at least 1 year supervisor experience * Open availability and must be comfortable working 12-hour shifts while on an averaging agreement * Must be willing to travel out of town if required. * Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License and clean abstract * Occupational First Aid Level 2 certification is preferred, but training will be provided to successful candidates * Advance Security Training is preferred, but training will be provided to successful candidates * PSSP CAT 2A and STC is preferred, but training will be provided to successful candidates. * Ability to lead, plan, organize, prioritize, delegate and problem solve. * Exceptional customer service skills. * Computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Google. * Must communicate effectively, both written and verbal. * Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced and potentially stressful environment and prioritize based on the severity of the issue. * Ability to effectively time manage and prioritize tasks. * Ability to complete all the additional required Paladin Trainings. * Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. * Must demonstrate professionalism in all situations.
