The MiWay Outreach team engages with various audiences through programs and events in Mississauga. In this positions you will work on social media content to promote MiWay's Outreach activities and programs. Duties and Responsibilities Plan and coordinate a social media content calendar to support community outreach activities and programs. Research, propose, create, schedule and monitor social media content to support community outreach activities and programs. Develop digital content including taking images and designing images and graphics. Participate in outreach events and coordinate social media activities. Obtain photo/video consent forms when required and adhere to applicable corporate policies and procedures. Analyze and report on social media metrics for outreach activities Develop customized MiWay digital content for outreach presentations (eg: maps, graphics, images) Execute digital/social media plans using Hootsuite and participate in outreach activities throughout the city at various locations. Assist with web siteupdates. Other duties as assigned Skills and Requirements Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a post-secondary program in Digital Communications, Web Design, Digital Marketing or a related program. Proficiency using social media channels is required (eg Twitter, Facebook). Background with using a social media scheduling tool is necessary experience with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator or other graphic design software is required. Knowledge and background with social media marketing and digital analytics is necessary background in developing digital content including taking images, designing images for social posts Background writing digital content (social media, web etc.) Background with Adobe Photoshop for photo editing. Proficiency using Ms office applications. Self-motivated and can work unaided or in team environment. Working collaboratively in a fast-paced deadline driven environment. Background with public transit is an asset. Must have the expertise to travel between various sites and facilities located across the City of Mississauga. A valid Ontario Class "G" driver's license is required to operate a City vehicle. A Criminal Record Search will be required of the successful applicant, at their own expense, that is acceptable to the City of Mississauga.
