As a member of our Financial Advisory team, you’ll help small start-ups to massive multinationals face financial issues with informed confidence. A career in Financial Advisory will offer you the opportunity to: Work in a fast growing and challenging environment with like-minded people who are eminent in their respective technical field Develop solutions through debate and discussion, in our teams and with clients Continue your professional development to reinforce and expand your chosen career path Work with high profile clients on a variety of Canadian and international engagements As a Senior Manager on our Valuations and M&A team you will: Provide clients with buy-side valuation advice including pricing/market analysis, target company valuations, and purchase price allocations; Provide clients with sell-side valuation advice including preparation of offering documents, divestiture company and asset valuations, and offer analysis; Provide valuation support to our audit and tax functions such as impairment analysis, going concern analysis, valuations to support corporate restructuring, and valuations for business combination; Lead teams in the delivery of all forms of valuation reports (comprehensive, estimate, and calculation); Take a lead role in delivering advisory services to high growth organizations with a diverse team; Create longterm relationships at a senior client level; Execute a client service plan on complex engagements working closely with Partners; Identify and lead business development opportunities; Actively mentor and coach teammates to their highest potential; Create a learning environment through leadership. Your role as a manager at Deloitte: Embrace and live the firm’s purpose – to make an impact that matters – by pushing yourself and your team to identify solutions to challenges that are most important for our clients, people, and society Develop high-performing people and teams through challenging and meaningful opportunities Deliver exceptional client service by maximizing results and driving high performance from people, while also fostering collaboration across businesses and borders Influence clients, teams and individuals positively, leading by example and establishing confident relationships Understand key objectives for clients and Deloitte, and align people to them to set appropriate priorities and direction External Posting Requirements Completed undergraduate degree with strong academic credentials; Must have CBV designation and completion of the CPA designation would be considered a strong asset; Min seven years of relevant work background; Strong external consulting or advisory background; Strong commitment to professional and client service excellence; Good verbal and written correspondence skills; Proven expertise to deliver all valuation related services; Experienced with project problem diagnosis, solution development, client communications, facilitation of decision making, documentation, managing client expectations, project profitability and team leadership; Experienced in business development and building a practice; Demonstrated evidence of strong leadership in creating a learning environment; Expertise to anticipate the longterm impact of all decisions and take a broad approach to issue solving; Execute a client service plan on complex engagements and work together with the team in exceeding our client's expectations while identifying and mitigating business risks associated with projects; Some Canadian travel may be required and occasional international travel.
