Purpose The Liquidity & Interest Rate Risk (LIRR) Group plays a key role in formulating the Bank’s risk appetite and governance framework, and provides independent oversight of the Bank's liquidity and structural balance sheet risks. The Senior Manager Liquidity Risk plays a pivotal role in the Bank’s Liquidity Risk Oversight function. The incumbent is expected to provide forward looking insights that contribute to the successful execution of the Liquidity Risk Mandate. Accountabilities Leads and drives a customer focused culture throughout their team to enhance business partner relationships. Review and analysis of liquidity risk and collateral data and metrics to provide value-adding and forward-looking insights into the Bank’s liquidity risk profile in support of the Liquidity Risk Mandate; Drive the implementation of best practices and analytical techniques for evaluating and quantifying the liquidity risk impact of the Bank’s products and strategies; Actively seek opportunities to enhance the liquidity risk management framework, including risk assessment, metric development, procedures and methodology; Collaborate with Group Treasury and other business lines to proactively identify vulnerabilities and seek opportunities for optimization of the balance sheet and funding programs. Provide subject matter ability on liquidity risk and related regulations, including providing input for liquidity risk related policies and guidelines for the Bank’s international branches and subsidiaries; Lead annual review of liquidity risk policies, guidelines and limits; Play a leading role in the application of technology to enhance liquidity risk analysis, monitoring and reporting. Education / Background : A min of five years’ relevant work background; Practical knowledge of a wide range of capital markets and deposit products; Solid understanding of bank treasury functions and funding programs; Progressive risk management experience, preferably including recent liquidity risk background; Demonstrated analytical and analytical skills ; Good verbal and written correspondence abilities; Relationship building and collaboration; Knowledge and background with implementing Basel III and related regulatory frameworks is desirable.
