Senior Manager, Applications Optimization and Process Improvement Specialist

We are hiring a Senior Manager, Applications Optimization & Process Improvement Specialist in our Cambridge office! You will play an integral role in improving the consistency and efficiency of our process to enhance customer service both internally and externally. You will act as an advisor to the Business Units and facilitate the evaluation, planning and implementation of business process improvements. This role reports to the Senior Vice President, Finance, IT & Corporate Services, and works closely with the Human Resources team, multiple internal stakeholders and external vendors. Required responsibilities Foster a partnership approach working with the other business units across the organization Develop in-depth knowledge of both current and available software applications and identify solutions for the use of technology to improve productivity and the customer background Lead process improvement workshops with the goal of effectively identifying opportunities for improvement Utilize effective Project Management expertise to manage internal client projects including monitoring and updating of the project plan and posting implementation tracking Build strong relationships with internal teams and seek opportunities where processes and learnings in 1 Business Unit can be applied to other teams May be asked to work collaboratively with Human Resources and Line of Business Trainers on the development and delivery of training sessions on the EPIC application Maintain oversight of communication plans related to process improvements and software application implementation to ensure clear understanding Champion and deploy business and process improvement methodologies and toolsets across the Business Units and build capability throughout the organization through knowledge sharing and coaching on the effective use of software applications and process improvement approaches Serve on the Organization's core Recovery Management Team for Business Continuity Purposes which will include: Leading annual Business Continuity Testing and Documentation Setting annual business continuity plan (BCP) objectives with senior leadership team and the Business Unit leaders Identify gaps in current BCP protocols and recommendation of solutions About you You are: A natural presenter with exceptional communication and coaching skills Passionate about learning, with a strong desire to grow your skills Positive, enthusiastic, and high-energy Detail-oriented, organized and thrive on variety Have a proven work history to work within aggressive deadlines and under pressure while remaining focused on the task at hand You are a proactive and strong team member able to interact across organizational levels to support business goals What does it take? 5+ Year of background in the Insurance Industry Understanding of both Property & Casualty industry and Group Benefits Consulting industry considered an asset Good written, verbal and public speaking skills Background developing training aides and leading training sessions and workshops Superior project organizational skills and ability to multi task and proven work history to meet deadlines Solid understanding on lean processing, process mapping and process improvement concepts Strong collaboration skills with all levels in the organization with a proven work history to overcome objections, influence and lead In depth knowledge of EPIC and Microsoft applications considered an asset This role is based out of our Cambridge, Ontario office and will require some travel between office locations on an as-needed basis.
