The Brookfield Infrastructure Group is 1 of Brookfield Asset Management’s primary operating groups. The Infrastructure Group operates and manages assets owned through its private funds and public listed entity, Brookfield Infrastructure Partners (BIP). Our portfolio of assets primarily spans the utilities, transport, energy and communication infrastructure sectors, located in North and South America, Europe and Asia Pacific. Job details: The Senior Analyst will join the Portfolio Management team within the Infrastructure business group, reporting directly to the Manager. The objective of the team is to partner effectively with each of our operating businesses and internal stakeholders to drive performance, generate value, and act as a trusted resource on asset management matters. The Senior Analyst will be responsible for assisting with developing, maintaining, and overseeing Brookfield Infrastructure's enterprise risk management, and compliance programs across our portfolio of global assets and to ensure that risks across the businesses are mitigated to an acceptable level. You will also assist in overseeing the portfolio management operations for the group, including key elements of our asset management framework. In addition, you will work together with the Manager, Portfolio Management to identify emerging issues arising from the rapid growth of the business and developing longterm solutions, further strengthening the foundation to support the continued growth of the business. The Senior Analyst will also support onboarding new assets into Brookfield's operations processes. This role provides the foundation, guidance and exposure towards a successful and challenging career in Finance. The successful applicant will be a self-starter that enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, has excellent people skills, possesses a high degree of intellectual curiosity and has a strong foundation in analytical thinking. Key highlights of this role includes: A role with exposure to senior executives, including the CRO to develop and manage the enterprise risk plan at Brookfield Infrastructure Work for a world class asset management company with a demonstrated history of success, growth, and well above average returns for investors, shareholders, and partners Combining accounting and finance skills with issue solving abilities to develop a key risk program in the evolving environment of ESG Responsibilities: Support the Manager, Portfolio Management in the development, implementation and maintenance of risk, compliance and other asset management programs across portfolio companies Prepare quarterly board presentations for Brookfield senior management and Brookfield Infrastructure Partners Board of Directors Develop an understanding of operating businesses key performance drivers Provide oversight of quarterly/annual financial reporting submissions from operating assets including reviewing growth capital expenditure projects for variance analysis from budget to actuals, rate of return, and scope delays Support operational and risk due diligence for potential acquisition targets, with an emphasis on Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) metrics Frequent communication with operating asset finance teams and with public and private fund finance teams to support investor relations, board reporting, and ESG initiatives Assist in overseeing the managed risk system across the Infrastructure Group Identify and communicate ideas to improve and streamline processes in the context of a growing operating platform Support the onboarding and integration of new acquisitions into Brookfield's asset management program Support the business partners in executing the Group's portfolio governance processes Strategic ad-hoc analysis and special projects as required Qualifications: Recently qualified CPA, CA , ideally with Big four background and a proven ability of high performance Demonstrated leadership expertise and is a team member, willing to always support the team Effective communication expertise (oral and written) and people skills Excellent analytical and problem-solving expertise; willingness to “dive into the details” Strong PowerPoint and Microsoft excel skills, including the expertise to review and update financial models and prepare high-quality presentations At Brookfield, we care about your privacy and strive to protect Applicant Data throughout the recruitment process.
