Details: Reporting to: Director Resident Services Temporary role: 1 yr - Maternity Leave Cover Full-time: 37.5 hours (Monday to Friday) Salary: Competitive Required responsibilities: Staff Scheduling: Maintains Master Staffing Rotations for the Care (RN, LPNs and Care Aides) and Recreation Therapy Departments according to applicable Collective Agreement and Employer Policies by: Adjusting and replacing all leaves of absences, vacancies, terminations and vacations; Coordinating all shifts by calling in relief/casual staff for vacancies; Receiving and processing all requests for leaves Maintains timekeeping records in a scheduling software for staff and verifies the data prior to its submission to payroll; liaises with payroll regarding employee enquiries and makes adjustments as required; Answers employee enquiries regarding interpretation of Collective Agreements and employer policies. In conjunction with the Director Resident Services, prepares and maintains all job postings in accordance with the collective agreements. Care Clerk: Organizes and maintains forms, binders and manuals on the nursing units. Processes orders for restocking supplies on the nursing units. Arranges handidart transportation for residents as requisitioned by nursing staff. Arranges and maintains residents schedule for onsite appointments In conjunction with the Team Leader, maintains and informs physicians and dentists of the care conference schedules. Compiles monthly resident statistics and enters data for performance indicators. Performs other related duties as assigned. Key Qualifications: Grade 12, medical terminology and graduation from a recognized Nursing Unit Clerk program 4 Years of recent related skills or an equivalent combination of education, training and background. Background scheduling/staffing Union background (including. BCNU) Skills & Abilities: Great communication- both written and verbal Expertise to work in a team Operate related equipment Highly organized and detail orientated Must have strong Microsoft office suite skills Expertise to manage workload calmly, professionally and efficiently Able to handle sensitive info with discretion and confidentiality Maintain a professional working relationship with others in a respectful working environment Why should you apply?
