Located in Markham, Ontario location, we are 1 of the fastest-growing technology companies in Ontario. We are expanding quickly and are seeking a Project Coordinator to help us reach the next level. We have an opportunity for the right applicant to become a key member of our Professional Services team. We are seeking a Project Coordinator to support large and small scale professional service project implementations for diverse clients in the financial services industry. You will be assisting with the full life cycle of project engagements from scoping, initiation, tracking and reporting to closing and billing. Tasks and Responsibilities Assist the project management of customer technical engagements from pre-sales to project close Creating Statements of Work that encompass all requirements, deliverables, schedules and pricing Developing meeting agendas, holding regular client meetings, drafting and distributing meeting minutes Producing internal documentation such as project templates, status updates, meeting minutes, training agendas, etc Tracking the progress of an implementation to meet deliverables, maintain budget and the go-live date. This includes managing customer expectations around project timelines and delivery deadlines Maintaining detailed schedules, performance statistics and metrics to monitor the progress of projects on various aspects like scope, quality, productivity and time-line Tracking project plan deviations leading to the need for change requests. Creating change requests and getting sign-off by customer Ensuring project team consistently and accurately records daily effort hours in time tracking and project management tool Managing internal, external and sometimes geographically dispersed resources to meet development, configuration and delivery commitments and deadlines Building and maintaining detailed project management plans to include resource, schedule, cost, and quality components Drafting detailed project governance and communication plans that address key stakeholders' requirements Monitoring compliance with project task assignments and milestones Supporting the management of all aspects of a project to ensure that informed decision making is supported. Frequent contact with business, technology, stakeholders and other possibly geographically dispersed teammates Support the project manager for the overall leadership to the project team and create an environment where teammates are motivated to perform Background and Requirements PMP (or currently pursuing); other project management certification considered Excellent organization skills and attention to detail Strong organizational and presentation skills Exceptional verbal and written correspondence skills Highly motivated, self-directed individual Background or desire to work in a Financial Services environment Background or desire to work in a software environment Background or desire to manage application development project teams in both traditional and agile project management methodologies Negotiation skills Expertise or desire to manage internal, external and geographically dispersed resources to meet development commitments and deadlines Proficient PC skills using project management software, Visio and the Ms office (Outlook, Microsoft word, Microsoft excel, PowerPoint) Expertise to create and manage complex project plans in an efficient and timely manner Expertise to travel up to 10% Bachelor’s degree in business, Computer Science, Details technology, Project Management or other related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and background a bonus Powered by JazzHR
