Marketing and Communications Coordinator
We are hiring a Marketing and Communications Coordinator in our Cambridge office! What’s the role? Supporting the broader Cowan Insurance Group Marketing and Communications team, the Marketing and Communications Coordinator is a key contributor to the success of traditional and digital marketing activities for external and internal audiences. The s uccessful applicant will coordinate the production and facilitation of marketing and communications plans, events, tactics, content, and supporting analytics. This role reports to the Manager, Marketing, Communications and Digital Strategy, and works closely with the Marketing and Communications team, internal stakeholders, vendors, and clients. University/college diploma in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or a related position 1-2 yrs’ background in a corporate marketing, communications, or public relations role Background supporting marketing events, tradeshows and conferences The ability to build effective working relationships with clients, co-workers, vendors and leaders Effective communication (verbal/written), negotiation and people skills Ability to multi-task, be flexible, and move from 1 priority to another while maintaining a high-level of accuracy and attention to detail Above average social media skills – you understand the difference between social channels and how to post to them Basic digital marketing skills – you’ve supported campaigns before, you understand the basics of SEM, SMO, SEO and content management A current understanding of marketing planning, and project management including workback schedules, pitch decks and writing formal briefs Background maintaining inventory and distribution of promotional material (swag) A basic understanding of how to analyze the results of marketing activities, determine ROMI, and report on your findings Marketing research skills, including forming and analyzing focus groups, building surveys and reporting results A background in finance or the insurance industry is an asset Basic written and verbal French (multi-lingual fluency would be a plus) This role is based out of our Cambridge, Ontario office and may require some travel between office locations on an as-needed basis.
