Summary of the Role: Reporting directly to the Corporate Controller, this position will support the accounting department in various accounting functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and adherence to accounting principles. This position is a full time, in office role. Key Responsibilities: Financial Reporting: Assist in daily, weekly, and monthly tasks required for various reporting. Generate financial reports for management to aid in decision making. Financial Record Maintenance & Analysis: Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records using various accounting software and Microsoft Office. Reconcile and maintain expense accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Bring attention to accounting discrepancies & irregularities. Compliance: Ensure compliance with GAAP and Canadian Tax Regulations. Ensures financial reporting and government filing deadlines are met. Audit Support: Assists in supporting external audits. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement efficiency measures. Streamline accounting processes to enhance accuracy and timeliness. Team Collaboration: Work closely with the finance team to ensure a seamless and collaborative working environment. Key Requirements, Experience and Skills: Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field. Thorough knowledge of GAAP and financial regulations. Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Attributes: Well organized. Analytical approach. About E.S.
