A number of new opportunities exist for experienced security analysts to join a team of highly skilled Info Technology (IT) security professionals within the Corporate Details Security Office (CISO). We are looking for a cyber-security professional to fulfil a critical info security role at the senior level: Cyber Threat Intelligence and Penetration Testing Specialist - We have an opening in this field for a specialist that can help develop and further the cyber threat intelligence program for the organization, and assist with the identification of new threats along with mitigations to prevent the threats from becoming incidents; This position plays a significant role in providing leadership, security advice and direction for IT programs and projects across the GoA. This presents an excellent opportunity for those who enjoy planning and resolving challenges in large projects and possess effective communication, issue solving and project management expertise. You will contribute to the continuity of the operation of the Government of Alberta's computing environment by assisting in CISO's security activities of coordinating DR tests, investigating cyber threats, conducting penetration testing. You will be reviewing impact analysis, monitoring and managing risk assessments and security incidents. Performing in digital forensic investigations and assisting in the development and implementation of security controls, including cyber security technology, processes, policy instruments, and awareness or training materials will be required. To be successful in this position, you must have a breadth of background in the details security field. Your previous roles will have allowed you to manage multiple priorities within a medium to large-scale environment. Working as part of a team, analyzing complex and changing requirements and providing advice and support to clients has been 1 of your focuses. This position may have a supervisory role where mentoring junior resources is required. Requirements University graduation in computer science or a related discipline plus 2yrs related skills; or equivalent; A related two-year diploma in computer technology or a related discipline from a recognized post-secondary institution and 4yrs related experience; or a related one-year certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution and 5 yrs related experience. Assets include ICS 100/ ICS 200/ ICS 300 and/or ITIL, PMP, ABCP, CBCP, CISSP, CISM, PMI-PBA, CAPM certifications. For individuals who have obtained related educational credentials from outside Canada, it is strongly recommended that you obtain an evaluation of your credentials from a Canadian educational credential assessment service. If you have already completed such an assessment, please include the certificate of assessment as part of your application.
